CNN-IBN Real Heroes – 2010 award
Celebrates the undying spirit of ordinary people who have done extraordinary service and have expanded the realm of humanity .in this Third edition this initiative recognizes the real life heroes who never gave up against adversities and served the cause close to their hearts. The selfless acts of these 24 unsung heroes from across the nation in categories as diverse as women’s welfare, social welfare, health &disability, youth, education &children and sports will inspire the nation and prove that with determination and self belief even an ordinary persons can have a profound impact on our society. The ceremony was attended by luminaries including CMD of Reliance Industries, Mr. Mukesh Ambani, his wife, Mrs. Nita Ambani, Sachin Tendulkar, Aamir Khan, Yash Chopra and other eminent personalities applauded the heroes who through their extraordinary work have made a difference. Each of the Real Heroes was presented a trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh.
